Padang city is very easy to visit, because the fleet of land, sea and air is available is very smooth. From Jakarta using the bus, can be approximately 30 hours, with the plane about 1.5 hours.

Currently, direct flights from Malaysia are also available. If you came from US , Australia or Europe you can transit to Soekarno Hatta International Airport Jakarta.

The simplest way to do this is by flying to Minangkabau International Airport, and that will ease your entry into West Sumatra greatly. Minangkabau International Airport is the main gateway to West Sumatra and is serviced by Garuda Indonesia Airlines.
